How does the Welcome Wagon work?
The Welcome Wagon relies on the members of the community and real estate agents to notify us of any newcomer that has recently moved to Croton-on-Hudson.
Upon notification, we deliver a free welcome package with helpful information and items from local organizations and businesses to ensure newcomes feel welcomed and are aware of all our community has to offer.
Who have you partnered with so far?
We’ve partnered with more than 25 local businesses and organizations, including the Croton Free Library, Croton Historical Society, Croton EMS, Croton Running Company, Bennett Conservatory of Music, and many others. Being part of our welcome package is a great way to introduce yourself to new residents.
How can I partner with you?
There are two primary ways local businesses partner with us.
- Be a part of our welcome package. Each new resident receives a welcome package that introduces them to our village. You can introduce them to your business or organization by providing items like coupons, products, swag, and more. Recent examples include:
- A free coffee coupon from Matters Coffee
- A “bread brick” from Hudson Oven
- A poppy loaf from Little Star Pastry
- A coloring kit and coupon from Little Sprouts Boutique
- Sponsor or support an event. We are always planning new ways to connect the broader community. Learn about our events on our homepage, or reach out to us to propose an idea. In the past, sponsors have provided space, products, and more.
This sounds great. If I become part of the welcome package, what volume should I expect to provide?
We really appreciate anything you want to include for our new residents. If you’d like to be part of all welcome packages, we deliver 10-15 per season.
